Ingredients
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven
Preheat to 160–170°C (320–340°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper. - Cream butter & sugar
In a bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. - Add vanilla
Mix in the vanilla extract. - Combine dry ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, and salt. - Make the dough
Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture until a soft dough forms. - Shape cookies
- Roll into small balls and flatten slightly
- OR pipe using a piping bag for decorative shapes.
- Bake
Bake for 12–15 minutes until the bottoms are lightly golden. - Cool
Let cookies cool on the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
